Driving Down Russia's Spine: Tracking the Russian Soul from the Arctic to the Black Sea | Two journalists – one Russian, one American – embark on a month-long, 6000-kilometer road trip down “The Spine of Russia.” Their goal is to step behind the blaring headlines about East-West conflict and competition, to see how Russians are living and hear what they have to say about our world. The journey stretches from Russia’s northern border on the frigid shores of the Barents Sea to the tropical city of Sochi, traversing three geographic regions, visiting 22 cities and towns, and touching on five seas.
